Quality Assessments
By assessing your quality program, we are able to identify potential gaps in quality that we will be able assist you in addressing. More specifically, we focus on the efficiency of your quality program with emphasis on the following specific core quality areas:
- Pay 4 Performance – We help organizations improve their performance on the CMS required indicators by facilitating a process to standardize the approach to clinical care. By limiting variation and following the best clinical evidence, your organization will experience improvement in performance. We have over 18 years of practical experience overseeing clinical improvements in over 45 facilities.
- Performance Improvement – We use the standard PDSA approach to PI, but also incorporate the principles of “The Four Disciplines of Execution” by Chris McChesney. We can help establish a PI project and facilitate execution of classic project management.
- Peer Review – Many organizations are still using “Specialty Specific” Peer Review to monitor medical staff quality. We are experts at developing a “Multidisciplinary” approach to Peer Review, thereby eliminating many of the biases and challenges that are associated with the outdated “Specialty Specific” approach to Peer Review.
- Fair Hearings – We facilitate your handling of a Fair Hearing when it occurs. We work alongside your attorney to guide you through this challenging process. We can also work on the front end of a serious quality event to help to understand options that can avoid a Fair Hearing all together.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) – We help facilitate the conduction of an RCA and make sure it is carried out appropriately utilizing The Joint Commission’s approach. We also help differentiate between system causes and those that should be dealt with in the Peer Review process instead of an RCA.
