For those of you in the state of New York, thereโs a new requirement that was signed into law in December of 2021, ratified in February of 2022 and ultimately went into effect in July of 2023.
The requirement says that any hospital in the state of New York that is applying for a certificate of need will also have to have a health equity impact assessment accompany that certificate of need.
